Monitoring  Service  Asset Tracking

Aztec Computers is pleased to offer a truly pro-active service aimed at keeping Small Business Server or Microsoft Servers running at their best. This service can be used for monitoring Servers and Business Critical Desktop Computers.

Depending on the level of service taken this will include; 24x7 Monitoring, Daily Safety Checks and Asset Tracking of Hardware and Software. Aztec Computers receive daily email alerts to highlight any issues discovered. The status of your systems are accessable on line, live via secure login to Aztec's Monitoring and Collation Server.

With the Daily Safety Checks, any small issues can be investigated promptly and action can be taken before these small issues have a chance to become bigger issues! With the 24x7 Monitoring, Aztec Computers are alerted immediately that an issue has occurred, and can quickly use Remote Administration to login to the Server and take action, often resolving the issue, before you become aware of it, and before it impacts on the business. True, Pro-active support and service with constant monitoring.


Daily Safety Checks

These checks form the basis of a Daily Confidence Service that run once a day and will spot small issues before they have chance to become larger issues. These checks include:

  • Backup Checks any issues with Backup Jobs
  • Anti-Virus Checks the most up-to-date AV files
  • Exchange Information Store Size Checks Exchange Database growth
  • Disk Growth Rate checks disk space usage over a 24hr period
  • Critical Event Checks from the System Logs
  • Disk Health Checks warns if disks are failing
  • File Size Check monitors a specific number of files or folders to check if they are getting bigger, or not getting bigger (SQL Logs for example)
  • Hacker Checks spots attempts to gain unauthorised access to the Server
  • Confidence Note email sent to confirm that the checks have taken place and all is OK
This monitoring service has no contracts, is billed monthly on the 1st of the Month, and is payable at the end of the month. This monitoring service can be used on Microsoft Servers and Workstations (does not include Exchange or Backup for Workstation, and is priced accordingly)


24x7 Monitoring

This is a comprehensive Monitoring service, which is in addition to the Daily Safety Checks:

  • Windows Service Monitoring checks covers any or all Windows Services to make sure they are running
  • Disk Space Checks if the pre-defined threshold has been breached
  • TCP Port Monitoring checks TCP ports are running and configured (ftp, smtp etc) (5 ports as standard, more available)
  • File Size Check monitors a specific number of files or folders to check if they are getting bigger, or not getting bigger (SQL Logs for example)
  • Bandwidth Monitoring checks when any switches or Routers are getting too busy or bottle-necking
  • PING Checks the status of a remote office, device or other network equipment (5 pings as standard, more available)
  • Website Checks ensures your website is displaying the correct information on static or dynamic pages
  • SNMP & RAID Array checks any SNMP device and Pre-Configured RAID Drives
  • 5 or 15 minute Interval Checking, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
  • Secure On line Access to your reports, see for yourself the status of your Server in an easy to view format
This monitoring service has no contracts, is billed monthly on the 1st, and is payable at the end of the month. This monitoring service is aimed at Microsoft Servers / Small Business Server or Critical Workstations.


Asset Tracking / Management

This service allows Aztec to run a scheduled or one-off scan of the entire network to accurately ascertain a detailed hardware and software licensing inventory of IT equipment. This can be invaluable for tracking what physical components are in each Windows Desktop or Server, and to make sure software is fully licensed, and you don't have too many copies installed!

The scans take only a few moments and then the data is uploaded to the Aztec Computers 24x7 Monitoring server, where we can monitor your assets, and where you can view your assets through the On line access that we provide.

Bespoke software for this service can cost hundreds of pounds. With Aztec, you only pay for the number of device-scans that you do in a month. This could be something that you do once a month, twice a year, once a year, or every other month. A device-scan is the number of devices (server, laptop, workstation) x the number of scans in one month.

example: if your company has 10 devices and they are scanned monthly, then you would have 10 device-scans in that month. If you had them scanned twice a month, that would be 20 device-scans.
