Print-friendly versionSmall Business ServerMicrosoft Small Business Server (SBS) is ideal for businesses of many sizes who are looking for an easy to deploy and easy to manage server solution that will grow with your business. SBS 2003 has two versions, SBS Standard and SBS premium. The features and benefits that are covered here apply to both versions of SBS. The only major difference between the two SBS versions, is that SBS premium comes complete with SQL Database. Both versions of SBS are suitable for businesses with between 5 and 75 users. Straight out of the box, Small Business Server is licensed with 5 Client Access Licenses (CAL's), these licenses allow 5 devices or users to connect to the server. Additional CAL's can be purchased in blocks of 5, so you can grow your server as your business grows. Small Business Server provides a robust file and print server for your office, dedicated e-mail server in the form of Microsoft Exchange Sever for excellent message collaboration with Outlook 2003 (licensed with SBS) and can also be accessed remotely over the internet and be pushed directly, in real time to many mobile devices including iPhone, Windows Mobile Devices, Nokia's and many more. The Remote Web Workplace (RWW) of SBS allows workers to access company e-mail, and even their desktop computer over the internet securely and without additional software or cost. Workers will be able to print documents from their company desktop computer to their home PC / Printer too. These are only some of the many features of SBS, others include fax server, allowing workers to send and receive faxes directly from their desktop computers, CompanyWeb which is an internal website used for central document storage, fax storage, holiday calendar, company photo's and much more, all of which can be accessed through Remote Web Workplace too. SBS also allows central management of users, computers, printers, and applications such as Anti-Virus. From a support perspective, SBS allows Aztec Computers to administer and control the server using remote administration. SBS also allows Aztec Computers to provide direct, interactive desktop support with your workforce.
